Seriously. It would have been so much easier if the two had talked directly. I did end up saying that to the surgeon, but it went right over his head as he defended his actions. :-/
I recently had a radiologist talk to his nurse or tech who talked to me who wanted me to get some information from the urologist.
I wrote the questions down, got the radiologist's phone number, called the urologist and gave him the radiologist's direct number. The game of telephone is meant to be played in elementary school. not in a hospital!
Still learning the ropes of med-surg nursing after a career in psychology, and gathering fodder to keep a blog going for years (though I doubt more than the random reader will see it). Why blog? Mainly for the catharsis. My family is either repulsed or confused by my work stories -- this saves them. Do I sound like someone you know? Pure coincidence...
